Karl Howman and Ethem Cetintas direct this British documentary about the civilians who secretly built thousands of Spitfire fighter planes during WWII. After destroying a number of Spitfire factories in and around Southampton in 1940, the German Luftwaffe believed they had managed to halt the production of the famous plane. However, with the war now at a critical stage, a number of women, children and elderly men stepped forward to help engineers continue production in secret, using garages, barns and bus depots as workplaces for their vital operation.
