The Snow Creature (1954)

1950s adventure film in which a Yeti captured in the Himalayas escapes into Los Angeles. American botanist Dr Frank Parrish (Paul Langton) is in charge of an expedition to the Himalayas. Its members are initially skeptical when their guide Subra (Teru Shimada) tells him that his wife has been kidnapped by a Yeti. However, when Subra leads them to a cave of Yetis the scientists are amazed and capture one to take back with them to America. Some carelessness at LA customs, though, has catastrophic consequences...
