- Gwyn (Osian Roberts) is tending sheep on the hills of his fathers farm. He is nine today but is not happy. Later at home he looks at the picture of Bethan, his sister who vanished on the mountain four years ago on his birthday. Gwyn's Grandmother Nain (Siân Phillips) arrives to give him presents? A piece of seaweed, a yellow scarf, a tin whistle, a twisted metal broach. and a small broken horse. Why? Gwyn is confused...
