Voted out of the company by the board of directors, Dick vows to buy them out with the money from his wife's estate. His wife, who is in love with the family lawyer, has other plans and is waiting for him with the divorce papers and the news that she is leaving for Paris.. Dejected, the spurned lover renounces capitalism and women and takes off for South America as a workman (coal stoker). By a twist of fate he ends up on a below-the-border plantation, where he rescues the pretty owner Margarita (Dorothy Burgess) from the bandit leader Santino (Noah Beery Sr.). In the mean while Margarita has fallen for Dick and tries changing his views on women. It takes the corrupt Nicaraguan police, a plantation in need of rescue, and a quick turnaround in his value system to finally change his mind...
