In 1965, the members of The Syn met at the crossroads of 60s psychedelia and pop, performing at London's legendary Marquee club with the likes of Pink Floyd, The Who, and Jimi Hendrix. They recorded a handful of underground classics ("Flowerman", "14 Hour Technicolour Dream"). Then, just as quickly, they were gone. A surprise reunion four decades later saw them record their first ever album of new material, Syndestructible, and hit the road for a few intimate live dates in the US-another first. This show at Boston's historic Somerville Theatre, on a cool winter's night in January, finds the band in remarkable form. Featuring original Syn vocalist Steve Nardelli alongside the stellar rhythm section of Syn co-founder/bassist Chris Squire and drummer Alan White (partners in the classic rock supergroup, Yes) this video captures the band as they give a majestic performance of material new and old, adding an important new chapter to the history of one of art-rock's great (nearly lost) treasures.
