- Synopsis:
- Femme fatale, Iris (Rose Byrne), is caught up in the violent, seamy underworld of Jazz Age Sydney. Her English lover, McHeath (Hugo Weaving), a shady boxing promoter, suspects she's having an affair with his new young protégé, Art (Matthew Le Nevez), an aspiring boxer. In a flawed moral landscape each struggles for power and survival as McHeath is provoked to acts of jealousy and violence. Ultimately, Iris's desires lead them all to an unexpected and destructive final destiny.
