Brian Donnegan (Jeff Fahey) is a tough L.A. detective on a mission to catch the men who killed his long time partner, Tim Scully (Kenneth Tigar). When his Captain (Brion James) assigns him a rookie partner who knows plenty about the gang life but little about being a detective, Donnegan is forced to enter the underbelly of the L.A. rap scene. Here the heavy pounding of the music often can't mask the sound of gunshots and murder, Donnegan and his partner uncover an amazing plot to kill off musicians for dollars in an empire filled with greed. The clock ticks away as the bad guys lead our cops through the streets of downtown L.A. and into the roads of Vegas.
