- Scarred by his wartime experience, Noah Locke (Chris Klein) returns from WWII to find he is all alone in the world. Wandering the back roads of the South, he finds it in a town some call The Valley of Light. He befriends a young war widow (Gretchen Mol), and the two lonely souls develop a strong bond. But when tragedy strikes the community, Noah must decide if he truly belongs in the place where he now feels at peace. Moving and poignant, this family drama proves that the greatest journey is the one that brings us home.
