- Passionate veterinarian, Hughes (Jean-Claude Carrière) seeks the services of a marriage agency to meet the soul mate. First condition to fulfill the candidate: own a large apartment where he can fit all his hairy and clawed companions... A few days later, the head of the agency announces, triumphant, he has selected the perfect candidate: of foreign origin, Jeanne (Anna Karina) lives in fact alone in a gigantic apartment...The couple quickly con-vales in marriage, but in fact of union, it will rather be a subtle game of mutual observation ... Very enigmatic, the young woman indulges in ambiguous rides and strange night outings
