- Synopsis:
- From childhood, Giles Winterbourne (Rufus Sewell) and Grace Melbury (Emily Woof) have been destined to marry. But when Grace, the daughter of a wealthy timber-merchant, is socially elevated after leaving boarding school, she breaks their engagement off. Giles continues to pine for Grace, now enamoured of handsome doctor Eldred Fitzpiers, oblivious to the fact that his soul-mate Marty South adores him.
