Welcome to the world's most popular heritage steam railway. Deep in the Yorkshire Moors is a train line that time forgot. It all began over a cup of tea in someone's front room, when six Yorkshiremen decided they would try and bring the 1830's North Yorkshire Moors Railway back to life. Fifty years later and visitor numbers have never been higher. We'll go behind the scenes at the NYMR and join them for their busiest year yet as they cater for ramblers, tourists, wedding parties, coach trips and engineering geeks alike, all desperate for a spot on their coveted steam trains.
