Come to the outbreak of World War II, Swing had arrived with a legacy that would take it into the new millennium. In the aftermath of the war, the popularity of Swing declined. A growing revival started, however, in the 70's with the worldwide love affair with disco music. By the 1990's Swing is surfing a wave of popularity bigger than its pre-war history, as Hollywood movies such as Swing Kids, Malcolm X and Swingers, hip chart-topping groups like Brian Setzer Orchestra and Big Bad Voodoo Daddy, and international marketing campaigns featuring Swing. i.e. Khaki's Swing by The Gap has seen Swing cross generations lines. It is as likely you will see a teenage couple dipping alongside jitterbuggers old enough to be their parents in clubs the world over. Times have changed, Swing has changed, even the Lindy Hop has changed, but the fact that Swing dancing is fun never will.
