Rent This Ugly Yet Beautiful World (2004 - 2005)

This Ugly Yet Beautiful World is a Japanese animated series about two high school boys who are thrust into a world of aliens and monsters when they happen upon a light in the woods. When high school students Takeru and Ryou discover Hikari, a young girl emerging from a light in the ground. The two boys keep her safe as they try to figure out where this mysterious and alien girl came from as they are attacked by monsters and other wierd creatures that have been alerted by the arrival of Hikari and another alien who has also landed somewhere nearby.
