When Julia Herrick was a schoolgirl her first love was football - and now she's the football correspondent for a national Sunday paper. At the end of her first day of match reporting at Tottenham Hotspur, she's amazed when she's offered a lift by none other than her childhood hero, Spurs' then captain, Danny Blanchflower... It's 1961, and Spurs are enjoying an unprecedented run of success in the first division, captained by the great Danny Blanchflower. Spurs' greatest fans are four scruffy schoolgirls, Julia, Toni, Jailbird and Tub. Their ultimate dream is to watch their idols with the Cup, but they'll have to come up with a crafty plan to get hold of the tickets.
