- Nick Nolte plays a tough, seasoned ex-con fresh out of prison who is trapped in a bank and held hostage by a bungling, first-time holdup man (Martin Short). Enjoyed this film when it first came out and still funny now. Great actors and good story. A fartherwith a young daughter tries to rob a bank and makes a mess of it and takes an ex con hostage.
