- Murderer 'Thunderbolt' Jim Lang (George Bancroft) is arrested and imprisoned with the help of his former moll, Ritzie (Fay Wray). Whilst on death row in Sing Sing, Jim enacts his revenge by framing Ritzie's lover, Bob (Richard Arlen), for a crime he didn't commit.

What an amazing film from 1929! Early takie with complex soundtrack. You have to hear it to believe it!
Nuanced characters. And DO listen to Tony Rayns in the extras, whose comments are ALWAYS enlightening! Enjoy!
