If you have seen a certain Nicholas Cage movie called Next, then this is an indie version of that film but with additional scifi time travel mechanics and of course, less polish. Yes, a couple of actors lack natural vocal delivery but the main female protagonist star and other supporting actors more makes up for that with sincere professional performances. There are some space battle scenes set in the future that has some CGI that is clearly needing an extra layer of rendering but this film is NOT about special effects as there is only less than five minutes of heavy CGI battle scenes in the whole film, anyway. The rest is a human time travel mystery thriller set in present day interspersed with scenes from the future. In fact the subtle special effects used elsewhere are very well done.
As an indie scifi movie, this is an admirably engaging and quite thrilling time travel adventure with narrative twists.
Worth a rental if you love some time travel and appreciate the huge efforts and sincerity from Indie filmmaking crews to entertain.
3/5
Please don't waste your money on this film. I enjoy most films, even the bad ones, but I could only watch this for about half an hour before I was forced to turn it off. The acting is TERRIBLE and I have seen far better special effects and CGI in little kids computer game. Give this one a miss.
