Synopsis:
Last Mysteries of the Titanic (2005)
This compelling documentary sees Oscar winning director James Cameron lead his team of underwater explorers on a series of historic dives to film and document the innermost spaces of the world's most famous shipwreck, Using two $20 million research subs, four minirobots, a seafloor-to-satellite data system and a suite of the most advances cameras and lights, Cameron's team creates unparalleled 'live' images of the wreck of RMS Titanic.
Answers from the Abyss and Deep Inside the Titanic (1999/1999)
'Answers from the Abyss' follows a group of experts who hope to discover how the ship broke and scattered across the sea floor. An arsenal of high-tech hardware will perform a deep-sea examination and pieces of the Titanic will be dissected and analysed to reveal aspects of the tragedy never before witnessed or understood. 'Deep Inside the Titanic' uses special submersibles to glide through the living spaces of the ship. We witness the current condition of the ballrooms, hallways and living quarters of the Titanic. On a guided tour, the stories of the inhabitants of each room are told. Around each corner, the grandeur that made this ship the pride of the White Star Line brings home the poignant story of those who spent their last moments aboard.
Anatomy of a Disaster and Untold Stories (1997/1998)
This moving video not only tells the gripping personal accounts of the passengers on board, but also takes us two and half miles down to the actual wreck site. With the aid of letters, old photographs and original artefacts, we piece together the human elements of this epic tragedy. In the company of a group of highly qualified scientists, we then take an analytical view of the wreck using underwater archaeology, forensic science, metallurgy and sonar imaging to provide a uniquely personal and technical perspective of this momentous maritime disaster.
