Seventeen-year-old Aly (Kaley Cuoco) has it all - perfect looks, a loving family, and a close circle of friends. What she needs is a great idea for a documentary film she is making in hopes of winning prize money for college. Since her mother (Caroline Rhea) had been hospitalized because of her weight, Aly gets the idea to wear a "fat suit" to school and document her experiences. But while undercover, Aly is shocked when she is constantly taunted by the other kids. And when an overweight girl takes her into her confidence, Aly discovers first-hand the prejudice that obese teens face every single day. Inspired by the true experiences of a teenage girl who went undercover for a news story, 'To Be Fat Like Me' brilliantly explores issues of body image and identity, documenting America's obsession with weight and appearance.
