- Synopsis:
Tsukiko (Moe Arai) - a budding photographer - always feels inferior to her elder sister - Tomie (Miu Nakamura). Tomie is breathtakingly beautiful and popular among the male students, including Toshio (Kensuke Ohwada), whom Tsukiko is secretly in love with. When an tragic accident kills Tomie right in front of her younger sister Tsukiko begins to suffer the same nightmare night after night. A year later Tsukiko and her parents silently surround a birthday cake to celebrate what would have been Tomie's 18th birthday. Interrupted by eerie knocks on their door, and a voice claiming to be Tomie, they open the door. Unbelievably, it is Tomie, she's back! Her father and mother blindly welcome Tomie back with open arms, but Tsukiko feels an instinctive fear. Tomie gradually reveals her true face.
