On the evening of December 7, 1998, a host of stars turned out for a spectacular 50th-anniversary tribute to one of the best-loved and most influential singers of our time, Mr. Tony Bennett. Dubbed "An All-Star Tribute", the event was broadcast life on A&E Network from Sony Music Studios in New York City, and comprised the 10th instalment of 'Live by Request', the critically acclaimed, Emmy award-winning live music series created by Mr Bennett in 1996. Complete record of that star-studded evening, and includes spoken testimonials to Mr. Bennett's artistry from a wide array of musicians representing nearly every genre of music (Billy Joel, Elvis Costello, Burt Bacharach, Kiss, Madonna and Sting), as well as tributes from the worlds of film, television and Broadway (George Clooney, Billy Crystal, Cameron Diaz, Harrison Ford, Matt Lauer, Gregory Peck and Joe Pesci).
