An unforgettable and unique concert to celebrate the 90th birthday of the renowned harmonica player Toots Thielemans. This video features his European Quartet with special guests: Kenny Werner (piano) and Trijntje Oosterhuis (vocals) recorded live at le Chapiteau Opera de Liege, May 17, 2012. Toots Thielemans - Belgium's most celebrated jazz musician - composed and recorded the jazz standard "Bluesette" in 1962, with lyrics added by Norman Gimbel the song became a major worldwide hit. He has performed on many film scores, such as Midnight Cowboy, The Getaway, Sugarland Express and Cinderella Liberty. Toots has played concerts and made recordings with leading jazz and pop stars, such as George Shearing, Ella Fitzgerald, Quincy Jones, Bill Evans, Jaco Pastorius, Natalie Cole, Pat Metheny, Paul Simon and Billy Joel.
