After a very long absence, Alice (Giovanna Mezzogiorno / Beatrice Grannò / Clelia Rossi Marcelli) returns from the United States, where she has become an established journalist, to the house by the sea where she spent her childhood and adolescence to attend the funeral of her father, an American officer in force at the Nato base in Naples.
