Produced by Pelicula Films Ltd. as long ago as 1998, rights issues have until now prevented Two from joining its sisters in the Whirlie stable. For some, the new release will be a long-awaited welcome back, for others a pleasurable hello to some unique musical combinations. Nanci Griffith, Ricky Skaggs, Maura O'Connell, Paul Brady, Eddi Reader and John Martyn are just some of the stars getting it together with the Sessions House Band under the musical co-direction of Aly Bain and first time in the job Jerry Douglas. The September release of Transatlantic Sessions Two (with CDs to follow) will coincide with first television transmission on BBC Scotland and BBC Four of Transatlantic Sessions Five and the new series will itself be out on video... - Directors:
