Jason Statham returns in the latest Transporter adventure which pulls no punches. Everything that has made him a bona fide action star is utilised. There is a script but really it only exists to ensure the action meets the calibre of the Transporter series. You have the unbelievable fighting sequences where very little can stop the hero; crazed car chases and inventive stunts. Other franchises may have bigger bangs, set pieces, toys, notable actors and lavish budgets to spend, but Megaton displays creativity, as Jason endures everything from being underwater to having to pedal for his life. This is B-movie action at its very best, and while you’ll find little interest in the plot itself, the desire to see what happens next is strong. It just shows what a little thought and invention can produce. Much better than Death Race!
Well done sequel. All the stuff you watch Statham for and some nice little extra twists and turns. His friend the policeman is a character that has grown well in the series and adds much to the interest of the story.
