Treme is an American drama series created by David Simon, the creator of The Wire. The series tells the stories of a fractured group of people in New Orleans following hurricane Katrina. Set almost immediately after the disaster, Treme looks at the political and social ramifications of the hurricane for different classes from English professor Creighton Bernette (John Goodman) to struggling bar owner LaDonna Williams (CSI:Miami’s Khandi Alexander) and many others. The show looks at the unique culture of New Orleans and the effects the storm had on not just its people but its image.
