- Synopsis:
- The story of Greek boxer Salomo Arouch, his father and brother, who are taken prisoner by the Germans and suffer the inhumane conditions of the Auschwitz death camp. When middleweight champion Arouch (Willem Dafoe) repels an attacker from his own ranks, the commandant of the camp forces him to perform for the benefit of the SS officers, boxing all-comers, with the losers being shot.
