Stephen Rea is Eddie, a small time hustler who runs makeshift auctions out of the back of a Trojan van - hence his nickname. Richard Harris is John Power, a powerful, charismatic and dangerous Godfather of the local traveller community. Eddie works for Power and has answered to him ever since he gave him a fresh start after a stretch in jail. When Power falls for a beautiful young traveller girl, Kathleen, and decides to marry her, the relationship between the two men changes forever. On the wedding day Kathleen steals the £11,000 dowry and elopes with Power's nephew, and Eddie's workmate, Dermot. Trojan Eddie is the only man who knows where to find them and the stage is set for a tense story of violent retribution interweaved with wicked Irish humour. - Actors:
