True Blood season two pretty takes off a few weeks after the events ending season one. The season two storyline is a bit more multi threaded than the first season with Jason Stackhouse discovering religion and joining 'Fellowship of the Sun' an anti-vampire militia under the guise of a church, Tara becoming involved with a woman named Maryann who's not all she appears to be and Sookie and Bill's quest to find the missing 'Godric' the 2,000-year old vampire Sheriff of Area 9. The series is well up to the high standards set by season one, though deviation into a more supernatural theme does feel a bit muddled at times, especially the Maryann storyline which runs throughout the whole season and pretty much takes over the final few episodes. Overall. if you liked the first season then this is definitely a no-brainer and something you'll want to rent.
