- Art Dodge is a failing art gallery owner who cons recently widowed women to keep his gallery from going under. He becomes the target of a powerful Mafia don when one of the women he scams is the don's mother. The don's ex-wife, Betty, comes to Dodge's aid, but falls for him and wants to marry. They become engaged, but Betty's sister, Liz, sees Dodge's true nature. He begins to fall in love with Liz, but in order to woo her, pretends to be his own twin brother.
