Dull propaganda film. Find something better to do with your time. - The Unbelievers review by PE

Dull propaganda film. Find something better to do with your time.

This film is just a series of scenes watching Richard Dawkins and Laurence Krauss going on a lecture tour. The film makes no attempt to shape an argument, or discuss the topic deeply. Neither do the protagonists. It's just a rant. It isn't helped by how both Richard and Laurence come across as caustic. It's a shame, as there is a need for a good film on this topic.

An interesting tour with two top academics. - The Unbelievers review by Martin J from Portsmouth

Spoiler Alert

This was an interesting tour with two of the key academic proponents of rationalist scientific analysis of evolutionary biology and the nature of religious practice. This is backed up by a range of famous names with some extended interviews on the DVD with deleted scenes and a making of feature. The tour includes quite a few of the meetings and lectures that the two academics go on in an area of significant debate and controversy. The academics have good humour and patience when explaining what they regard as a matter of fact rarther than contention. I personally believe that religious can still have a role in a more diverse world and this debate can do some good in providing idears on how religions may change rather than end. A documentary worth watching.
