Bishop Street detectives uncover the secrets of a disparate group of suspects linked to their latest cold case a dismembered body found in marshland. DCI Jess James (Sinéad Keenan) and DI Sunny Khan's inquiries lead them to four suspects a lecturer at a prestigious university, a journalist for a populist news channel, an interpreter who escaped Afghanistan and an autistic young carer increasingly drawn to online hate culture. As their investigation continues, the detectives also contend with personal crises Sunny (Sanjeev Bhaskar) is adrift after breaking up with his long-term partner, while Jess tries to recover from her husband's betrayal.
