United Shades of America (2015)

'United Shades of America' is a new original CNN series hosted by comedian W. Kamau Bell. Currently slated as an eight-part season of hour-long shows, the production follows Bell, who is also the ACLU’s Celebrity Ambassador for Racial Justice, on a cross country trek as he converses with diverse populations around the US on race relations while confronting sociological issues. The first episode centers on a visit to the Ku Klux Klan in Arkansas, for example, who meets with Bell as part of a public relations effort by the KKK to reshape how they are viewed.
