However, when he thinks Rosie has accidentally overheard some of his nefarious plans, Tweed appoints her father as Superintendent of Central Park to assure his silence. While she works in the park with her father, all the time dreaming of becoming a famous opera singer, Rosie meets a handsome young reporter (Dick Haymes). Together they discover that Tweed is up to no good at Central Park Zoo. He's embezzling money and eating the poor animals into the bargain! Now they must expose him but there's one little snag. Rosie thinks she just may have fallen in love with the scoundrel!
A wonderful period comedy full of fabulous costumes and luscious sets, 'Up In Central Park' sees Deanna performing "Oh Say Can You See", "Carousel in the Park" and "Pace, Pace Mio Dio".
