Synopsis:: Documentary telling the story of the American aircraft carrier the USS Franklin. After a successful campaign throughout the Second World War, the USS Franklin was attacked off the coast of Japan in March of 1945. Speaking to survivors of the attack, the programme gives an account of the events as they happened with the help of video footage shot from a nearby rescue ship.
