Valentina Lisitsa: Live at the Royal Albert Hall (2012)

The Ukrainian classical pianist recorded live in performance at the Royal Albert Hall on June 19th 2012. Lisitsa has taken an unusual and perhaps pioneering route to classical success by establishing an international reputation through the use of social media and video-sharing sights such as youtube to promote her work. Having gained such a following online some commentators suggested she was one of the most watched classical musicians in the world,Lisitsa was invited to play at the Royal Albert Hall in the summer of 2012 and performed pieces by composers including Beethoven and Liszt.
