Synopsis:: Vijay and Genelia D'Souza star in this Tamil-language action thriller. Bharathi (D'Souza), a young Chennai journalist, invents a super-hero she dubs 'Velayuthham' in an attempt to intimidate the gangsters who have brought fear and disruption to the city in a series of bombing incidents. A string of coincidences leads to Vetrivel (Vijay) being identified by the public as the super-hero - landing him in direct opposition to some of the city's most powerful terrorists.
