- Synopsis:
- Vera is a British crime drama about a no nonsense police detective and her partner and their investigations into complicated and dangerous crimes. The series follows Detective Chief Inspector Vera Stanhope (Brenda Blethyn) and her partner Sergeant Joe Ashworth (David Leon). The two grow close as they try to find the truth in various murder investigations they are assigned and also as they attempt to help each other out in their personal lives, something they both aren’t very good at coping with.
