- Valery Gergiev leads the "The Kirov Orchestra" in this production of Verdi's opera in four acts, recorded at the Mariinsky Theatre, St. Petersburg in 1998. As well as using the music from Verdi's original version of the opera, the stage sets are also based on the original designs for the St. Petersburg premiere in 1862.
