It was meant to be a joke: a blind date between a rich, successful attorney and a heavily pregnant ex-convict. But it turns into a passionate affair - which leads into a deadly maze of desire, greed, betrayal and murder. Detective Matt Harding (Nick Mancuso) is horrified when his best friend, Clay Spencer (Mike Farrell), proposes to marry the gorgeous Lucinda (Cheryl Ladd). But Clay refuses to listen to Matt's dark hints about her past. Too late, Clay realises his terrible mistake as Lucinda's true character emerges; she indulges in wild spending sprees with his money - and sets her sights on her next sexual conquest, his handsome young son. Stumbling on her callous infidelity, Clay makes hasty plans to rid himself of the woman who has deceived and betrayed him. But his desperate bid for freedom is cut murderously short.
