- Synopsis:
- Live performance of Nick Stafford's stage adaptation of the Michael Morpurgo novel,filmed in London's West End. The story follows young Albert (Sion Daniel Young) and his horse Joey,who is taken away from him during World War I to serve in battle. Lieutenant James Nicholls (Alex Avery) tells Albert that he will ensure Joey's safety but when Nicholls is killed the boy lies about his age in order to join the army and goes in search of his beloved horse.
