Running ten miles through rural Hampshire, the Watercress Line's preserved main line locomotives are a collection of national importance. The addition of S160 class 'Franklin D. Roosevelt' , a US Army Corp 2-8-0 rescued from Greece and lovingly restored in the Mid Hants workshop proved the focus of the Gala Transport weekend, celebrating the day it entered service. The S160 stands proudly between a wonderful collection of other engines featured in this programme including War Department 2-10-0 'Sturdee', T-9 class 120, West Country Class 34016 'Bodmin' and many many more. With detailed commentary this video is ideal for both the casual visitor to the 'Watercress Line' and the serious rail enthusiast.
