- Synopsis:
This term 'Waterloo Road' hits the ground running with an explosive ninety-minute special that paves the way for all that's to come. Head Teacher Rachel Mason returns ready to take on the challenges of a new year and a new family, the Kellys, who have arrived on her doorstep. It won't take long before they make their presence felt - and the entire school comes under siege with the appearance of a very dangerous weapon. Rachel has also brought on board a new Head of Extended Services, someone who may be the right person, but for all the wrong reasons; and a new sports teacher Rob Cleaver, who sees potential in Bolton in the boxing ring. He's easy on the eyes - especially where the girls are concerned - but hard on his star pupil and on any teacher who gets in his way. Elsewhere in the school, Grantly Budgen is married to a new toupee, but separated from his wife; Steph Haydock finds herself romantically attached to the new school security guard, and alongside the emotional trials faced by Chlo and Donte, Earl Kelly is seducing Maxine away from everyone she loves in a relationship that can only end badly. There are tests and trials aplenty for all who work and study at Waterloo Road - but this term promises to be one of the most punishing and rewarding yet. - Actors:
