- When Lelia (Francesca Annis). a temperamental film star who has just turned forty, is found drowned after a binge of drink, drugs and hysteria, everyone presumes suicide. But then the police realise she has been murdered. Everything points to Leila's charismatic fiance, Ted (Daniel J.Travanti); but Elizabeth (Kristin Scott-Thomas) Leila's younger sister, refuses to believe that the man she has come to love can possibly be guilty. She sets a trap to trick the real murderer into revealing his identity and almost becomes his fourth victim in the process.
