Primus (Anders Baasmo Christiansen) has always been a man of deeds and creative ideas. Since his hotel in the far north of Norway could not attract the tourists unfortunately, he believes now by the current political situation fast money to be able to make. He is converting his broke-down hotel into a refugee home. However, the list of the problems that accompany it seems endless: Without decent electricity and water supply - let alone doors in the rooms - one can not fulfill the requirements. Wife Hanni (Henriette Steenstrup) and daughter Oda (Nini Bakke Kristiansen) also have a rather alien feeling about foreigners and asylum policy in Norway. And Primus's cultural expertise of the Arab countries is anything but faultless. The refugee, Abedi (Olivier Mukuta), who is the only fluent Norwegian, who quickly becomes the mediator between Shiites and Sunnis, Christians and Muslims, Hindus, Buddhists and the other refugees, proves to be a savior in need. Primus must soon be plagued not only with the authorities and prejudices, but is compelled to extend his horizon about religious coexistence and living standards adequately.
