- Part drama, part crime, Wentworth Prison is an Australian series from creators David Hannam and Lara Radulovich that depicts main characters’ Bea Smith (Danielle Cormack) time spent in prison, starting from her early days and onward. The show’s foundations rely on Prisoner, and act as a contemporary sequel to 1979’s soap opera. The show questions the ethics of a woman-exclusive world, showing the real nature of a life behind the impenetrable wall, a direct consequence of a confined existence.
