League season number 118 in the Albion canon and, like all the rest, it was a campaign rich with hits and misses, sing-a-long choruses and the occasional high note to boot. Another season of progress saw the Throstles return to the top ten for the third time in six seasons on the back of a string of strong Hawthorns performances that provided the foundation of the campaign. James Morrison, Gareth McAuley, Tony Pulis, Darren Fletcher and Ben Foster all posted big personal milestones, Matt Phillips, Jake Livermore and Nacer Chadli established themselves as new Hawthorns heroes and Sam Field proved that Albion’s academy has plenty to offer in the years ahead.
