- On a midnight train to Atlanta, Jericho Whitfield (Tony Todd), a former slave, plans to avenge the murder of his daughter - who was scalped by his old master. Jericho's mission is to scalp and kill Annie Hargraves (Jennifer Laporte) - his old master's teenage daughter. The only thing standing in Jericho's way is a vicious mercenary hired to protect Annie. But they all soon discover that there is something far scarier than the three of them on the train - and they will have to work together if they want to survive this journey to hell.

Interesting, but runs out of steam ... - West of Hell review by NP
This starts off well enough. There are some choppy edits, but the production, set predominantly on a train, looks good, with attention to period detail, and some fine performances.
Sadly despite all this, it soon becomes a confusing, rather dull mess. I’m sorry to say this, because there are some good moments, and things definitely liven up when Lance Henrikson arrives. The effects are decent, and it seems there is a message amidst everything that is going on, although I’m beggered if I know what it is. My score is 5 out of 10.
