- Bill Murray plays Bob Wiley, a neurotic but lovable New Yorker who shows up at the vacation home of a pompous doctor named Leo Marvin (Richard Dreyfuss). Bob soon becomes the houseguest who wouldn't leave, endearing himself to the other family members... and in the end, driving the stressed-out Dr. Marvin absolutely crazy.
