- Synopsis:
- When the Boat Comes In is a British Drama series about a veteran soldier who returns to England following the war and is struck by the poverty he left behind. The series follows Jack Ford (James Bolam) , a World War One veteran who returns to his hometown, a poor place where he is shocked. As Jack gets back into the swing of civilian life he finds himself in dangerous situations as he uses his expertise to help those around him and those in need.
